21 Oct, 2009 09:59 AM
MORE than $10,000 worth of alcohol has been stolen from a Tea Gardens bottle shop after two separate break-ins last week.

The first attack was caught on CCTV footage last Monday, October 12 at 2.30am. The footage shows four people break down the front glass window with a steel bar before entering the store and retrieving $2000 in alcohol.

Two days later, a group of six people was captured breaking down the same front glass window just after 3am on Thursday, October 15. The group stole $8000 worth of alcohol.

After leaving the bottle shop, police said they drove past a nearby news agency where they smashed the front window and broke into the store’s cigarette cabinet. An unknown quantity of cigarettes were stolen.

Police said investigations are continuing.
