Accidental damage to Stroud cemetery

01 Feb, 2012 12:00 AM
SOME monuments at the Stroud Cemetery have sustained minor damage as a result of lawn mowing activities.

Great Lakes Council staff members are currently documenting information on monuments that have suffered damage and discussions have commenced with the council's insurance brokers regarding arrangements for repair works.

The council's manager of community services, Andrew Braybrook said that the council regretted this accidental damage and would be contacting and consulting with families regarding any necessary repairs.

To check if a particular monument has been listed as damaged, please telephone the council's Stroud office on 4994 5204. The office Monday to Friday between 9.00am and 12.00pm.
