ANZAC Day service

18 Apr, 2006 10:16 AM
PREPARATIONS are well underway for ANZAC Day, and this year's service will be special as we are being joined by the members and families of B Company, 5 Royal Australian Regiment (Vietnam 1969-70), who are having their annual reunion in Hawks Nest.

We have given them the honour of leading our march and we look forward to their participation.

As usual, the Ladies Auxiliary are helping out and we very much appreciate their support.

Children participating in the march will be given purple ANZAC Day lapel ribbons, and Australian flags will be distributed to people who turn out to watch the march and commemorative service at the War Memorial.

Veterans are reminded to please organise a chair for yourselves at the memorial.

We hope as many people as possible can attend the ANZAC Day Service to remember and honour those Australian servicemen and women who served our nation, and those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

Lest We Forget.
