Bulahdelah Central School has recently welcomed two new teachers.
Casey Connell and Kate Hunt join the school community and both are looking forward to the challenge of working in one of the state's largest central schools.
Casey, who is married with three daughters, is based in Port Stephens and commutes to Bulahdelah on a daily basis.
She has previously taught at Moree Secondary College, but has been on extended break due to maternity leave.
During that time she has worked as a casual at both Bulahdelah and Tomaree High School.
A local girl, Casey grew up in Raymond Terrace and returned to the area to be closer to family and her husband's work commitments.
Casey will be a valuable asset to the Humanities Department teaching English and History.
Kate Hunt lives in the Pacific Palms area and has previously taught at Crookwell High School.
A fitness instructor as well as a teacher she grew up in Wollongong and studied at both Wollongong University and Wollongong TAFE.
Kate teaches Personal Development, Health and Physical Education (PD/H/PE) and is also a Duke of Edinburgh leader as well as a mad supporter of the St George Illawarra Dragons.
