The Myall Coast Nota car was one of the first through the pump when the new BP service station opened on Friday.
Boasting a car wash, vacuuming bays, convenience store and take away, the state-of-the-art station has taken almost five months to build and cost around three million dollars.
The design of this service station is very different to other service stations due to the arched roofing and sails which were used to blend in with the Myall Coast Health and Medical Centre and Myall Quays Shopping Centre.
The curved roofing made the building more complicated and costly to build, however Megaplay Group owner Ralph Ryder said in hindsight he was happy about the modern design.
The station was due to open last month but the weather during December and January hindered the process.
“Despite (the setbacks) we are only four weeks off the target date; I am quite impressed with it all,” Mr Ryder said.
Eleven employees at the BP station will be run under manager Shaeleigh Sharp who has worked with Mr Ryder for a number of years.
Ms Sharp will be responsible for all staff training with a focus on customer service.
“The big thing is customer relations,” Mr Ryder said.
Nine of the employees will work inside while two will service the forecourt, helping customers fill their tanks and checking over tyre pressure, water and oil.
The BP service station will be open from 5am to 9.30pm each day.
