Bulahdelah bumps up fire appeal funds

19 Feb, 2009 10:19 AM
BUSINESSES and residents of the Bulahdelah community, through the guidance of Rusty Sargeant and Val Brown, are busy raising funds for the Victorian Bushfire Appeal.

Raffles have been held at the Bulahdelah Bowling Club and will continue to run until Friday March 6. Tickets are available at the club with the first prize being two tickets for a bus trip to the state of origin, including lunch.

Second prize comprises a $100 voucher to be spent at Barry’s Butchers.

Other prizes include vouchers for Thrifty Link Hardware, Bulahdelah Bowling Club and Avon products.

Razor’s Edge Hair and Beauty are involved in the fundraising as well. On Friday February 20 the owner will donate $5 from every hair or beauty treatment to the bushfire appeal.

On the same day Bulahdelah Newsagency will give a percentage of all newspapers sold. Ballantine Estate Farmstay at Wooton have generously given a $500 donation.
