TEA Gardens Hawks Nest Community Consultative Committee is hosting a candidate’s information night to allow residents to get to know those people standing for council.

The CCC has invited all candidates to attend this meeting and when the Nota went to print on Monday John Wheate, Linda Gill, Christian Patteson, Jacqui Keats, Len Roberts, Paul Hennlley, Karen Hutchinson and John Stephens had confirmed they will attend.

Each candidate will speak for three to five minutes regarding their views on issues such as the environment, development, foreshore protection and funding infrastructure.

The candidates have been asked to include their vision and strategic views for the future, highlight accomplishments for the local area.

They will also talk about how they intend to communicate with the broader community and where their preferences are going.

The information night will be held at the Hawks Nest Golf Club on Thursday, September 4, from 7pm.

All sitting and prospective councillors who are running in the election have been invited to this event and all voters are encouraged to attend.
