CANNABIS with a potential street value of $48,000 was seized by police from Port Stephens area command at Tamboi Fishing Village in the Myall Lakes National Parks.

Senior constable David Coyle said they entered the village with the sole purpose of looking for cannabis plants and found it growing in four separate locations in and around the fishing huts.

The plants were being cultivated and fertilised and potting mix was also seized by police. The average height of the plants was about 800 millimetres.
