Chamber gives pontoon project a boost

24 Feb, 2010 09:54 AM
THE Myall Coast Chamber of Commerce and Tourism was very pleased to hand to the Hawks Nest Pontoon Committee with a cheque for $1100.

Proceeds were raised after another successful Golf on the Wildside event, held last year during the Wildside Festival.

Accepting the cheque from President of the Chamber of Commerce Ivy Stephenson, were Progress Association members Kevin Green and long time advocate for this worthy project, Hugo Elstermann.

“The proceeds of the fundraising will help our community fulfill that missing piece of infrastructure at Hawks Nest and in the long term, benefit business development and open up tourism on the Myall Coast,” Mr Elstermann said.

On behalf of the Progress Association Mr Green thanked the Myall Coast Chamber for their support going towards the Hawks Nest pontoon project.
