Chairperson for the Overpass Task Force, Patricia Michell, said the meeting had been arranged by local member Bob Baldwin, who will also attend.

"The Task Force has been working since March, 2005, in an endeavour to have an overpass constructed at the intersection of the Pacific Highway and Myall Way.

"We are hopeful that we will receive a fair hearing from the Minister as this is a very important issue for our community," said Ms Michell.

The three members that headed to Canberra were Juergen Seil, Ed Bolehala and chairperson, Patricia Michell. All three are paying their own way, but consider it a good investment in their future and that of their grandchildren.
