THE final touch has been added to Tea Gardens Skate Park after a shade awning went up last month.

Through the fundraising efforts of the Lionesses group and the Progress Association, an undercover table area was added to benches already in the park.

“It’s great. Last holidays there were kids down here all the time, the skate park was really utilised,” president of the progress association Ron Doyle said.

There are future hopes of having a cycle way put in and plans for a grass netball court on the site.
