Karuah celebrates NAIDOC Week

13 Aug, 2009 01:45 PM
KARUAH Public School hosted their annual NAIDOC Day last week to celebrate the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. The school’s captain 11-year-old Tia Nganwoo along with Denisha Feeney, 10 and Matt Feeney, 10, made special presentations to family members about why NAIDOC is important to them.

The Carra Barra Wirra Canna Guitar group entertained with a special performance before students hooked into an afternoon of arts and craft, gardening and cooking.
