Leading Edge robbed

THIEVES have been caught on camera unwrapping television sets to fit them into their getaway car.

It is alleged intruders used a crow bar to break into Leading Edge Computers in Myall Quays Shopping Centre, Tea Gardens between 1.30am and 2am on Thursday, September 13.

Plasma television sets and DVD players were taken during the robbery.

In the process of unwrapping the equipment in order to fit more in their car, one of the television sets was dropped.

The broken set was left behind along with empty boxes and packaging.

This is the second time in eight weeks intruders have broken into the store.

Last time they took laptops and smaller electrical equipment.

Forensic police from Newcastle and local police officers are continuing investigations into the incident.
