Man dies in Stroud crash

14 May, 2009 09:11 AM
A 58-year-old Stroud man has been killed in a crash after his car hit a grass embankment on Saturday.

At about 12.30pm, the Toyota Landcruiser was travelling south along the Bucketts Way in Stroud, when it left the road, hit a grass embankment and rolled several times.

Police and ambulance officers, who arrived a short time later, attempted to free the sole occupant but he died at the scene.

The deceased has been formally identified as a 58-year-old local man.

The site was examined by Forensic Services Group officers from Taree and a report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
