WHAT better place for the community to rally together and raise some much needed funds for victims of Victoria’s devastating bushfires than the local pub.
The Tea Gardens Hotel Motel will stage a mega monster auction next Monday to raise funds for the Red Cross Bushfire Appeal.
Local residents are being asked to donate auction items of good quality to the pub on Saturday and Sunday, February 21 and 22.
There will be a deposit area at the rear of the premises where items can be left for storage.
Publican and organiser Lee Anderson said all community groups and locals are welcomed to participate and donate goods.
“Everybody is doing their best to contribute in some small way. A lot of people have come into the hotel and expressed their concern and asked if there are any fundraisers going on so we really hope to get a great response.”
The last auction at the Tea Gardens Hotel for the victims of the 2004 Boxing Day Tsunami appeal raised $11,000.
The non-profit mega monster auction will be held at the Tea Gardens Hotel Motel on Monday February 23 from 6pm. All proceeds will go directly to the Red Cross Bushfire Appeal.
