TEA Gardens Hardware raised over $2,000 for the Leukaemia Foundation at their World's Greatest Shave event held last weekend.

Nineteen local residents 'took it all off' and their heads were shaved by Jayne and Lauren from Jayne's Hair and Beauty.

Forty people who were not quite brave enough to shave, had hair colours applied by Joanna from Tea Gardens Hardware.

The youngest participant was three years old and the eldest was over 70.

The sausage sizzle was enjoyed by hungry attendees and 10kg of sausages, courtesy of Myall Gourmet Meats, were consumed. The bread was donated by BI-LO.

Owner of Tea Gardens Hardware, David Bright said the day was enjoyed by all.

"It was a great way to raise money for this very worthy cause," he said.

Every dollar raised during the World's Greatest Shave will help patients and families living with leukaemias, lymphomas, myeloma and related blood disorders.
