Obscene exposure

16 May, 2006 08:54 AM
ON Thursday, April 27, an incident involving obscene exposure allegedly occurred in a grass reserve off The Anchorage at Winda Woppa.

"The alleged offender was apparently removing his clothing and exposing himself to a female bicycle rider," said Senior Constable Peter Birch from Tea Gardens Police.

"A second offence is said to have occurred on Monday, May 1, at Bennett's Beach in Hawks Nest, where the same man was allegedly exposing himself once again to a second female," added Senior Constable Birch.

A 38-year-old male from Medowie has been interviewed in relation to the incident and charged by Tea Gardens Police with two counts of wilful and obscene exposure. He has been bailed to Raymond Terrace Court.

"Members of the public are urged to contact police if they witness anything of a similar nature," said Senior Constable Birch.
