WHAT better way to celebrate Australia Day, then with a barbecue breakfast, live music and games for the kids.

The ladies of the Tea Gardens Hawks Nest Lioness Club, thanks to Mid Coast Water, have been busy preparing for the day.

Kicking off at 8am at Moira Parade Park in Hawks Nest, the flag will be raised by the 2009 local citizen of the year.

Sausages, bacon and egg rolls, tea, coffee and cold drinks will all be available.

Face painting and races for the kids will be held, with the 2010 citizen of the year announced at 10am.

The RAAF is expected to fly past from Williamtown.

Don’t forget to buy a ticket in the Lions bumper raffle, which will be announced at 11am on the day. First prize is a television.
