PINDIMAR residents are again frustrated with overflowing bins for campers during the holiday season but Great Lakes Council has said there is nothing more that can be done.
The council's waste, health and regulatory services manager John Cavanagh said the bins were collected three times a week as arranged.
But a spokeswoman from South Pindimar said the council admitted to her there should have been a collection on the Friday during the Christmas period but it was rescheduled to Saturday at 5.45am.
"This rescheduling was only done after the community members rang Mid Coast Waste many times and complained and the ranger got involved," she said.
Mr Cavanagh said the excess garbage could be attributed to residents using the camper designated bins for their own rubbish.
The South Pindimar spokesman agreed but said this was due to their bins being placed too far away from the campers.
"The bins are placed smack bang in the middle of the village and everyone uses them," she said.
The spokeswoman said that once the bins were collected members of the community had to go around collecting the overflow and put it into the empty bin.
"The driver collecting the bins didn't touch the overflow," she said.
