Pindimar man found with Ecstasy and LSD

08 Sep, 2010 04:42 PM
A PINDIMAR man has been refused bail after police discovered large amounts of cannabis, ecstasy, LSD and amphetamines in his house last Wednesday.

Police said as they approached the house with a search warrant, the 45-year-old man attempted to run away before he was tackled by police.

Once inside, police found 1000 tabs of LSD, 100g of Ecstasy, 60g of amphetamine, 14g of cannabis resin and 2g of cannabis leaf, with a total street value of almost $50,000.

Police said while conducting the search they also found an unlicensed rifle, ammunition and an elaborate surveillance system monitoring the outside of the house.

The man was taken to Raymond Terrace police station, charged with eleven separate offences and refused bail.

He will appear in Newcastle Court on October 27.
