TEA Gardens Public School students shared the Christmas spirit with the residents of Myall Lodge in a special Christmas concert last Tuesday.
Students in the Youth Challenge group volunteered to prepare a program of Christmas carols and dances.
Tea Gardens Public School teacher Carol Andrews said it is the third year the School has performed a Christmas concert for the Myall Lodge.
“The students love performing for the elderly, it’s a great community experience for everyone,” Mrs Andrews said.
Audience participation was a must, with many joining in on percussion instruments, accompanied by bus driver Garry Helm playing the guitar, while the students sang.
A morning tea was prepared by the ladies of the Red Cross for the residents and students.
“We really appreciate the support of Garry and the Red Cross ladies for volunteering their time,” Mrs Andrews said.
