AMATEUR actor Allan Wilson is set to start up a free, monthly comedy improvisation group in Hawks Nest to "spark people's imagination and creative skills".
Mr Wilson said while traditional acting began with a script and rehearsing the scene, comedy improvisation was made up right before your eyes.
"There is no script, no memorised dialogue, no rehearsed scenes, just crazy ideas," Mr Wilson said.
He said the group was ideal for older people in the community who may have difficulty remembering their lines.
"It takes the pressure off them," he said.
It is by no means restricted older people with people of all ages more than welcome to join.
Mr Wilson said the group would help young people to "get a taste of acting and improve their self esteem and public speaking skills".
"It is all about daring to trust your instinct, expressing your ideas, and having a lot of fun," he said.
"We want hilarious laughter."
If you are interested head along at 2pm on Sunday, February 12 to the Old Hawks Nest library, next to the community hall.
No experience is necessary, contact Mr Wilson on 4997 1352 for further information.
