A TOTAL of $28,160 for 12 local hunter charities has been raised by students studying at Passmore’s Business and Management College.
Team Salvation, comprising of Christine Parker, Jody Redman, John Graham, Eden James and Angelica Phipps, hosted a golf day at Bulahdelah.
The day drew 100 players to the course and along with raffles and auctions the team’s efforts raised at total of $5,610 for the Salvation Army.
“I have great pride in team salvation who worked so hard,” Salvation Army Representative David Eyles said.
Mr Eyles said he was grateful for the benefit this money would do for those who stand in need.
“We will always encourage this type of fundraising as part of our courses here at passmores as there are so many deserving charities that make such a positive difference to locals in our community needing support,” Passmores principal Duncan Passmore said.
Other charities benefiting from the passmores students’ fundraising this year included Ronald McDonald House, Starlight Foundation, Vision Australia, Variety, The Children’s’ Charity, Sids and Kids, Red Cross, Camp Quality, Westpac Rescue Helicopter, Hunter Breast Cancer Foundation, Cancer Council and Guide Dogs NSW/ACT.
