COLES Group stores around the country turned pink during October to support the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF), raising $30,000 in association with Mount Franklin.
Mount Franklin, a Platinum Partner of the NBCF, encouraged stores to raise funds for cancer research through the establishment of the Mount Franklin Make A Difference Awards.
Through sales of Mount Franklin in the lead up to and during Pink Ribbon Month (October), Coles, BI-LO and Kmart staff raised funds for NBCF and contributed to increased awareness of breast cancer, a disease that 2,600 Australian women die from each year.
All Coles Group stores involved in the initiative worked hard throughout the entire period to raise funds for cancer research.
Through increased stock weights and off location displays, the stores delivered an increase in sales of 37 per cent plus the overall $30,000 donation to NBCF.
BI-LO Tea Gardens was the state award winner, and also took home the impressive national award, along with Coles Cowes (Victoria) and Kmart Campbellfield (Victoria).
These stores were treated to a Pink Ribbon morning tea, where a Mount Franklin representative formally presented a cheque to NBCF on behalf of that store.
All stores were congratulated for their involvement in the Mount Franklin Make a Difference Awards.
