CHRISTMAS is upon us and once again the Pindimar Bundabah Community Association is holding a Carols by Candlelight on Saturday, December 20, from 6.45pm.
Activities will be similar to last year and include singing of carols, Santa arriving with lollies and Christmas trees to be decorated by family groups on the evening.
A prize will be given for the best decorated tree and all those who participate can take their tree home.
Our Christmas hamper raffle will also be drawn on the night; second prize is a hand worked tapestry.
Last week a dinner was held at the golf club, organised by the chamber of commerce, to farewell and thank retired mayor John Chadban, after 13 years of service to the shire as mayor.
Pindimar Bundabah representatives took this opportunity to thank Mr Chadban for his past contributions to our area.
He will be greatly missed.
Wild dogs are still a problem in our area and we urge all residents and visitors to the area to be aware of the Companion Animal Act and dog restraining laws.
We urge you to be alert as there has been many siting of all types of snakes in the area this year; they will generally not worry you if you leave them alone but they may be a problem to your inquisitive pets
