SURVEYS for staff, students and parents will help the accreditation process for the Tea Gardens after school and vacation care group.
The group has completed its 18 month trial and is now part way through the accreditation process to make it official.
However that is not the only thing on staff members’ minds.
With only four weeks until school holidays, the team is perfecting its holiday activity list.
Tea Gardens children’s services supervisor Debbie Jordan said a number of new activities had made the list this year.
“It is mostly new things; we are doing a few of the older, very popular excursions. One is the ferry to Nelson Bay which all the kids love,” Ms Jordan said.
Children will also have the chance to participate in water activities, theme days and sports.
An outing to the Myall Art and Craft Centre is again on the agenda.
“I am a big believer in the whole concept of play for children,” Ms Jordan said.
Over the coming weeks Ms Jordan will contact schools in Bulahdelah with information about the service.
She will also place flyers in shop windows to target tourists who come into town over the holiday season.
