Visitors centre celebrates 10 years

18 Jun, 2008 09:21 AM
PRESENTATIONS were made to long time volunteers at the 10th birthday celebrations of the Bulahdelah Visitors Information Centre.

Geoffrey Turner and Kevin Pettit were awarded for their 10 and 8 years of service respectively.

The centre is now in full preparation for the traditional north bound pilgrimage of retirees making their way from down south to the warmer climate.

“With increasing petrol prices many of our Victorian visitors are making the Mid North Coast their main target.

“There’s so much to see and do in the area and a lot of visitors can’t believe they’ve driven past our little piece of paradise over the years,” centre manager Allan Freihaut said.

Many visitors and locals made the effort to attend the celebration in the wet weather.

Kath Aquilina was on hand to entertain guests with her vocal talents.
