World’s Greatest Shave has help from Little Miracles

17 Feb, 2010 03:03 PM
THEY may not have even turned five yet, but the children from Little Miracles Child Care in Tea Gardens are getting on board to raise money for this year’s World Greatest Shave.

Holding a crazy hair day on March 12, everyone at Little Miracles will be having their hair sprayed in crazy (wash out) colours, aiming to raise $200 for the Leukaemia Foundation.

Carer Chantelle Malone said the preschool raises money for different causes each year, deciding this year to support the foundation.

“We thought it was a good idea. The kids love having their hair sprayed and they just bring in a gold coin donation to go towards the fundraising,” she said.

If you would like to sponsor the pre-school in their efforts, donations can be made at Little Miracles Child Care or by visiting their team page at

All proceeds will go towards caring for patients with leukaemia, lymphoma or myeloma and help pay for research into better treatments for blood cancers.
