Cricket season soon to begin

05 Sep, 2006 01:01 PM
THE Tea Gardens Karuah Cricket Club is preparing for the coming season.

Two sides, A and C Grade, have been entered into the Maitland District Competition, which commences on Saturday, October 14.

Training commenced on Thursday, from 4pm at Tea Gardens Oval, and the club is calling on players from last year and any new players that are interested to attend training each Thursday until the start of the season.

Registrations will be at the training sessions and need to be completed before playing with the club.

Registration this year is set at $60 per adult and kids under 18 play for free.

For each game during the year a small fee is charged to cover ball costs and umpires.

Again, this is only on adults as kids play for free so we can develop our junior base for years to come.

The registration fee will see players get a club game shirt and have their insurance covered through Cricket NSW.

So come along and make yourself known so as you can enjoy a year with the premiership club, The Tea Gardens Karuah Sharks.
