Round seven was played on November 22, against Tenambit at Tenambit.
Batting first the Tenambit side got off to a good start and at the end of their 40 overs posted 8/219.
Bowling honours went to Bradley Pinch 4/45 and Bob Ziehlke 2/39.
The Sharks went into the game under strength but the young players called up applied themselves well, only to come up just short in the run chase being 9/193 off 40 overs.
Batting honours were with Mark Bills 59 and Bob Ziehlke 31.
Round eight for the Sharks was washed out after only 10 overs.
Round nine was played on December 6 against Windsor Castle at Karuah.
The Sharks bowled first with their opening bowlers pounded by the Windsor Castle batsmen taking 51 runs off their first eight overs.
Bradley Pinch was brought into the attack with immediate success, eventually taking 6/11 off his eight overs.
He was well supported by the leg spin of Bob Ziehlke with 1/10.
This led to a major collapse of the Windsor Castle side being bowled out for 95.
The Sharks batsmen were slow to start but a late charge, by Brent Bills 25 not out and Mark Bills 26 not out, had the Sharks passing the total in the 21st over, one over short of gaining bonus points by getting the total within 20 overs.
The Sharks now hold down 2nd spot on the ladder after a couple of ordinary weeks.
Round 10 was washed out.
Thank you to Ben Dawson’s Pressure Cleaning Services for helping clean off the Karuah Oval wicket before play in Round eight.
The wash out wasn’t caused by the cleaning of the synthetic wicket; it was caused because of the the storm that past during play.
