ON Monday February 15, 11 members played on our well maintained courts and after a tea break some members chose not to play a third game.
All who played had good fun.
Our president Jerry Guinness introduced his guest, Ken Stallard to the game and Ken will hopefully return to join our membership.
Bernice Beattie and Michelle Weir played especially well, hitting the ball through the hoop which is the point of croquet.
Jennifer Wenham and Liv Everingham also showed their skills on the court and Jerry Guinness scored a beaut in-off shot.
Greg Everingham, Ken Simmons and Ron Winters also showed their croquet skills, using game strategy and enjoying the court setting.
On Saturday February 20, nine players played two games of croquet as the weather was hot and humid.
Pat Pritchard, Jenny Holligan and Peter Sivyer played well hitting the ball through the hoop more often than not.
Please note: both days commence at 8.45am for a 9am start.
Any members that require a name badge or tee shirt are reminded to contact our treasurer Natalie Rowney on 4997 2258.
Please consider a game of croquet on a Monday, or Saturday.
It is a challenging but competitive game given that some thought and strategy is involved.
Contact our secretary Liz Burgess on 4997 0461.
Look forward to seeing you.
Happy croqueting.
