WITH those chilling winter frosts behind us and more day light hours ahead it is time to dust the boots, put on the socks, grab your mates and follow the sound of the whistle down to the football fields for the Bulahdelah Soccer Club Summer Competition.
It’s that time of year again for the Plough Inn Hotel Twilight Six-Aside Shield.
After our biggest competition to date in 2007-2008 we are looking to make this one even bigger.
Defending champions Mayer’s Flat Marauders will be back, hoping to make it back-to-back titles, along with the B grade champions Dad’s Army.
The usual suspects will be there, three time winners D’llusioned FC, formally known as illusions, Tea Gardens Soccer Club, Saligna, Down to earth Paving Pythons, Plough Inn Hotel and a contingent of new teams.
Two non-competitive registration days will be held from 5.30pm on Thursday, October 16 and 23.
The competition will kick off from 5.30pm on Thursday, October 30.
So if you are not in a team or would like to register a team, come along on Thursday and sign up.
Cost is $30 per player and you must be 14 years or older with mixed teams of 10 players with a minimum of two men or two women.
Registration forms are available from the Plough Inn Hotel, Detours Cafe or Bulahdelah Soccer Club.
