FEBRUARY 10 and 11 will see the return of the very popular Bulahdelah Bass Bash. Providing the weather gods look upon us favourably we should see one of our best events yet. There have been some great bass caught recently, setting the scene for some exciting competition fishing.
While the highlight of the weekend is always the biggest bass at junior and senior levels, there are other categories to keep both the kids and adults busy.
The Biggest Eel and Mightiest Mullet Competitions will keep juniors entertained. The biggest Cream and Biggest Other Species will interest the serious fishermen.
As always, the Bass Bash Ball gets the weekend off to a great start. Get to the Bowling Club, our major sponsor, early as this night is the highlight of the area's social calendar. Registration for the competition is available from 4pm Friday at the riverbank weigh site. Food and drinks are available all weekend, as well as great camping sites right on the water.
Presentation and light lunch will be held in the Bulahdelah Bowling Club auditorium on Sunday at 1pm. All anglers are asked to remember to obey NSW Maritime and Fisheries rules and regulations. All bass are to be released. Dead or dying bass will not be recorded under any circumstances. For more information ring Grant Bidgood on 4997 4979 or Brett Shultz 4997 4134.
