Kaylah’s number one on track

21 Feb, 2007 11:48 AM
FEBRUARY 10 and 11 saw Canberra host the opening round of the 2007 Go-Kart Championship.

The first round of the Supersprint 4s were held on Saturday with Tea Gardens competitor Kaylah Tennyson taking home the first place trophy in the Junior Sportsman class.

Qualifying for the endurance event was also held.

Twenty-eight teams competed in the seven-hour endurance event on Sunday.

Changing weather conditions made for some very interesting racing with Tea Gardens competitor Dylan Tennyson and Stevie Gimbert of the Central Coast in the team Ofik No 9 Kat, finishing in a very credible ninth place.

The next round of the championship for Kaylah will be March 3 at Windsor.

Dylan's next race will be at Griffith on April 7.

Dad "Shorty" who was unable to race at Canberra due to injury is looking forward to competing at Griffith.

Kaylah and Dylan would like to thank their sponsors Myall Quays Newsagency, the Great Aussie Bush Camp, Highland Brewers and also Dad's back pocket.
