Thursday February 11 marked round 13, the final round and last chance to grab vital competition points before the finals series begin.
Teams were eager to take the field in hope of improving their chances of qualifying for the playoffs.
The first round of matches kicked off with Salinga easily accounting for the Misfits 7 – 1, securing them a position in the Division B playoffs.
Goals went to Jake Longworth 1, Ryan Talbot 1, Ross Talbot 1, and Joseph Wright 4, with Jamie Gordon grabbing one for the Misfits. MVP Rob Grace.
Defending champions Busted Barcas FC defeated Dad’s Army 9 – 2.
Goals went to Dylan Gutheris 5, Jordan Gutheris 2, and Josh Small 2 with Greg Spooner and Garry Smith netting one each for Dad’s Army.

The Boys finished on top of the competition ladder with by one point after defeating last year’s runners up, Red Rockets FC, 3 – 2.
Goals went to Matt Browne 1, Jye Laver 1, Michael Gobson 1, with Joel Fittock and Simon Spooner grabbing one each for the Rockets. Spooner also picked up MVP.
Country Energy and Myall River Bullrouts played out a 2 – 2 draw.
Goal scorers Darren Richardson 1, Darren Carrall 1, Cameron Blackwood 1 and David Mason 1, each grabbed goals for their respective teams. MVP David Carrall.
Thrifty-Link Titans held Sexual Chocolate at bay sealing a 2 – 0 victory, setting up a Division B finals show with Salinga.
Corey Johnston and Damien Green scored the goals for the Titans, with MVP going to Green.
Down to Earth Paving Pythons had little trouble tackling the Barry Bros Meatheads, winning 5 – 1.
With the goal of the night going to Meathead’s Terri-Anne Everingham who scored a cracker from the edge of the box, rocketing in under the goal keeper.
Jake Hacene, Trent Lamborn and Nathan Tansey all grabbed one each for the Pythons, with Brad Keaton snatching up a double and MVP.
The only undefeated side in the competition, the Plough Inn Maruders beat Tea Gardens Hotel 4 – 3.
Goals went to Cheersy 1, Mal 1, Matt Kell 1 and Ashley Lamborn 1, while Shyann Dehaas bagged a hat-trick for Tea Gardens.
With the regular competition finishing so close, it’s going to make for a very exciting finals series.

5.30pm Wooden spoon match – Dad’s Army v Misfits, Division C Barry Bros Meatheads v Tea Gardens Hotel Motel.
6.30pm Division C Country Energy v Myall River Bullrouts, Division B Red Rockets FC v Sexual Chocolate.
7.30 Division B Salinga v Thrifty-Link Titans, Division A The Boys v Down to Earth Paving Pythons.
8.30pm Division A Plough Inn Marauders v Busted Barca FC.
Remember presentation night will be held March 4 at Bulahdelah Bowling Club, 6pm.

In other news, it’s time to start gearing up for the 2010 season.
The club is already in full swing, playing host to top young players from around our state association.
With representative teams from Football Mid North Coast basing their pre-season here on the stomping ground of the Bulahdelah Bullets, please come along and support, you’ll be amazed at the skill level of these future stars of the world game.
Our senior men’s side will travel to Wayne Richards Oval in Port Macquarie this weekend to play Port United FC in the first of the pre-season matches.
The following weekend will see the boys at home Saturday 27 against Cardiff Heights FC in the first of a two leg series.
