Juniors go golfing

29 Nov, 2006 02:03 PM
I ACCOMPANIED Steve Denning, our teaching professional, to Bulahdelah on Wednesday, November 15.

We had over a dozen boys and girls from the age of five eagerly hitting hundreds of golf balls.

At this age the perfect swing is not so important as is hand to eye coordination and I must say Steve is doing great things with these young charges.

Mitchell Blanch and Mark Hughes, the two older boys, are serious about their golf and strike the ball well.

Sofie Dorney is also eager to learn so look out boys!

It is great to see the amount of support from parents.

The day ended with a sausage sizzle.

This is a great opportunity for young people up to the age of 17 to learn golf from a professional at no cost.

Refer to the Hawks Nest Golf Club advertisement on the back page of the NOTA for times and places.
