Term two's golf program ended on a high note last Tuesday as students from Tea Gardens Public School competed in their winter tournament.
Postponing the tournament from term two seemed a wise move as, while the weather was cold, it wasn't wet.
Keen golfers with ages ranging between five and 11 played a number of holes after school with a large gathering of parents in attendance at the presentation dinner.
Winners on the day were Connor Lynch (stage three), Sami Davidson and Luke Ireland (stage two) and Cassie Reilly and Cooper Hunter (stage one).
Winners in the putting competition were Zac Ashard, Jackson Page, Kiarna Eddy, Cassie Reilly and Brent Johnson.
Thanks to SoLo Prices for arranging the prize vouchers.
Brent Johnson received an encouragement award for an excellent putting display, knocking in two holes in one and punching well above his weight.
Thanks go to Layne Bartley for donating that particular prize.
Thanks also to club pro Steve Denning and the participating teachers from Tea Gardens Public School as well as Ray Gilchrist for preparing more small size clubs.
The program continues in term three.
