The Myall Junior Golf Academy’s last tournament for 2007 was well attended by both boys and girls ranging in age from six to 13.

Students competed in a stroke competition and on return to the club house everyone participated in a putting competition.

Winners of the respective age groups were as follows.

Stage three boys: 1. Zac Ashard.

Stage two and three girls: 1. Samara Davidson; 2. Tilly Ashard; 3. Taylah Cooke.

Stage two boys: 1. Nash Johnson; 2. Trent Page; 3. Luke Ireland and Riley Price.

Stage one boys: 1. Cooper Hunter; 2. Liam Hunter.

Stage one girls: 1. Cassie Reilly.

Winners in the putting competition were Jesse Carpenter, Taylah Cooke, Jacob Gimbert, Cassie Reilly and Cooper Hunter.

Thanks go to Layne Bartley who donated an automated putting cup which was awarded to Trent Page for consistency and application.

The Myall Junior Golf Academy would like to thank all those community members who have donated prizes, money and equipment over the year with special thanks to Rob Hodgson who donated a share of his eagles’s nest winnings after posting a well deserved hole-in-one recently.

As always thanks go to Steve Denning and Eddy Groot, Hawks Nest Golf Club and the staff of Tea Gardens Public School, to our knowledge this is the only program of its kind in NSW.
