Evans moves south

30 Jul, 2009 09:58 AM
STAR apprentice jockey Brent Evens, 18, has moved south to Victoria from Queensland to continue his career.

Brent is the son of Darren and Leeane of North Arm Cove and the brother of Daniel.

Born in Maitland and raised in Grafton, Brent’s career has taken him from Port Macquarie to Albury and then to Brisbane where he has had great success riding against the likes of Larry Cassidy, Shane Scriven and Jimmy Byrne. Many wins followed including the group wins in the Gold Coast Guineas and the Eyeliner Stakes.

Brent will be teaming up with trainer Mick Kent in Melbourne and local horse racing fans wish him all the best with his endeavours.
