GARY Melrose and Dennis Ashbridge defeated Bob Weir and Bob Foster 19/12 after an excellent game in the Major Pairs Championship.
Honours were very even for the first 11 ends, but in the later stages the winners were able to draw away.
The gallery all agreed it was a very interesting game, played in fine spirit but eventually someone has to win.
Well done to all four players.
Wednesday April 14 1st Barry Goode, Ron Green and Gary Melrose, 2nd D Naylor and John Adam, 3rd Colin Amos, Kevin Barbie and John Younghusband.
