Let’s go karting

20 Apr, 2007 09:05 AM
Griffith Kart Raceway hosted round three of the Honda MPE Prokart Australian Endurance Kart Series on April 7 and 8.

The 24 hour race was a gruelling test of speed, skill and stamina on a technically demanding track.

Allan (Shorty) Tennyson and his son Dylan of Tea Gardens, along with another father and son team John and Chad Lanzon from Canberra and Mitchell Hewitt from Windsor, were the drivers for the team O.F.I.K number nine kart.

Qualifying was held on Saturday morning before the Le Mans start which saw Shorty lead the pack of the pack off the grid.

Racing was very competitive and positions were gained and lost many times over the 24 hour period. The number nine kart recorded the fastest lap of the race.

Congratulations to Shorty, Dylan and their team of drivers for finishing second in B-grade.

A great effort by them.
