TEA Gardens Women’s Bowlers held a day of bowls on Monday, September 15, with a lunch and presentation for the supporters of the men’s team which travelled to Bathurst to play in the State Pennants play off.
On Tuesday, September 16, the first round of Handicap Consistency Singles where played with winners V Rankin defeating E Barbie, V Hicks defeating L Baker, M Sargeant defeating F Giggins, O McKeown defeating M Smith, L Green defeating L Brennan, M Roberts defeating S Whapplington, P Janes defeating J McBride.
Two games of round two were also played on Tuesday with A Tyne defeating D Page and B Stephens defeating M Read.
On Thursday, September 18, the second round of the Handicap Consistency was played with winners M Sargeant defeating L Green, M Oldfield defeating J Younghusband, V Hicks defeating O McKeown, B Rhodes defeating B Thrift, V Rankin defeating P Janes, M Roberts won on forfeit.
Tea Gardens ladies have a busy month coming up with the RSL Pairs on October 2 and The Oncology Day on October 9.
This day is mixed, so men should get your names in as this is a very special day of bowls.
