Croquet players elect new president at AGM

23 Oct, 2008 08:52 AM
ON Monday, October 13, the Myall Park Croquet Club held their quarterly meeting as well as the annual general meeting.

Twenty-one members were in attendance.

Elected members were president Jerry Guiness, vice president Michael Orvis, secretary Liz Burgess, treasurer Natalie Rowwney, assistant treasurer Michele Weir, games captain Pat Beggs, publicity officer Joy Orvis and public officer Norma Glenn.

We also welcomed back Lily Engel and Jennifer Wenham after their absence.

Fran Henderson did a magnificent job of organising our croquet championship day providing the structure of the day along with a salad lunch after five games.

There were 14 members present on a beautiful spring day and Natalie Rowney and Joy Orvis won the prize for the day.

Please consider a game of croquet on a Monday, Tuesday, Thursday or Saturday as it is a challenging but competitive game given that some thought and strategy is involved.

Contact our secretary on 4997 1261 for more information.

Also note on Monday, Tuesday and Saturday’s we will be playing at 8.45 for a 9am start and 2.45pm for 3pm on Thursday.
