Grade six bring home pennant flag

28 May, 2008 10:45 AM
A large gathering of officials and bowling club members through out the district saw the flag unfurled and the presentation of the pennant badges to the Bulahdelah Women’s Bowling Club’s winning grade six team.

Hosted by president Loretta Towers the event was held on Wednesday, May 21.

Lower North Coast District Women’s Bowling Association president Yvonne Lloyd was ably assisted by district secretary Pat Irby and four other district representatives during the ceremony.

It was lovely to see so many colourful shirts from the different bowling clubs throughout our area along with special male guests from the Bulahdelah Bowling Club board, umpires, greens committee members and supporters.

Foundation member and winning side skip Wilma Bramble was given the honour of cutting the beautifully decorated cake.

A happy day was had by all and congratulations to grade six once more; you have now been set the task of winning the grade five pennants next year.
