Local boys hook the big ones

21 Feb, 2006 12:17 PM
ANOTHER outing has passed and our club members have proved their exceptional fishing abilities.

Sharpy won the outing with a legendary catch of Snapper, his biggest weighing 12kg. It was a marvellous catch with a lot of people coming over to check out his great catch, well done Sharpy.

In second place, Gav Mac had an assortment of fish from Sand Flathead to Mahi Mahi. Third place went to the 'Mulloway Man', Gav Stewart, with a mean Mulloway weighing 7.5kg. Congratulations boys. Our lady champ for the outing with some nice Dusky Flathead and a thumper Bream was Gracey Oldfields, good work Gracey.

It was a great afternoon last Sunday, with lots of fish and fun about, and stories were shared around about everyone's catches. Congratulations to all our lucky anglers that fished and weighed in. Keep your rod tips bending as our next outing is only a couple of weekends away, on February 24 to 26.

Darts results from Wednesday, February 8 were: Winners - Mick Russom and Daphne Stuart, runners up - Gracey Oldfields and Barry, ladies highest score - Mary Britton, 101, men's highest score - Paul, 112. Golf results for Thursday, February 2 were: 1. Wayne Montgomery, 21, runner up - Jo Western, 18.
