EIGHT hundred and sixty five starters lined up at Bar Beach for the 10kms challenge to Newcastle Harbour. Among them were seven Tea gardens runners who finished in the following order.
Mitchell Markham came in 91st position overall and 7th in age group in the personal best time of 45m 41s.
Laura Burr finished 132nd and 7th in age group in the time of 47m 21s. Adam Burr 232nd and 69th in age group in the time of 50m 31s. Graeme Johnson 401st and 72nd in age group in the time of 56m 18s. Brad Markham 407th and 73rd in age group in the time of 56m35s. Kayley Alsford 412th and 4th in age group in the time of 56m 48s. Tracy Alsford 760th and 66th in age group in the time of 1.12.50.
They all enjoyed the run very much and vow to return next year. For Brad Markham it was his first time over 10kms and he handled the distance without raising a sweat.
