TEA Gardens lady bowlers had two beautiful days of bowls last week.
On Tuesday, October 7, the finals of the Handicap Consistency Singles were played between Maynie Roberts and Maureen Oldfield.
Roberts won the title while Oldfield took runner up.
Social bowls winners were P Janes, O McKeown, L Baker and B Fakes with runners up B Thrift, B Rhodes, B Foster and H Doorey.
On Wednesday, October 8, Bev Foster, Bev Thrift, Dale Winter and Lorraine Harvey travelled to Clarence Town for a gala day of bowls.
Clarence Town set up a lucky ticket under the plates for a winning team.
The team consisted of Melva Hancock from Beresfield, Beverley Thrift from Tea Gardens, Wylma Reynolds from Beresfield and Kate Fennel from Morpeth. It was a very nice day.
On Thursday, October 9, the ladies held a very successful day of bowls for their annual Oncology Day.
Seventy ladies and men were involved.
A spider was held with stalls and a big donation table on the day. A great amount of money was raised for Oncology. Winners for the day were Lorraine Harvey, Doug Simpson and Maynie Roberts with runners up Kevin Barbie, Bev Rhodes and Jeanetta Rollason.
The Tea Gardens Ladies played Karuah ladies at Karuah for the Ruth Bowden Trophy.
