Rolled up for dedicated Dolphins Day

Tea Gardens Country Club Bowling Club

DOLPHINS Memorial Day on Sunday October 11 was held in memory of members who have passed away during the year.

Sixty bowlers competed in a three game round robin of triples organised by tournament director John Younghusband. Our thanks to Jock who piped The Lament whilst the ladies and men's flags were raised and very special thanks to the ladies who provided the morning tea and lunch. These special days are not possible without considerable support from our various sponsors and we express our sincere thanks to them.

Results:

Winners John Dubois, Olive McKeown and Ken McKeown. Second Barrie Lakeman, John Lawson and Paul Carter, third Vicki Rankin, Jim and Margaret Freeman, Tuncurry.

Results for Wednesday October 7 triples: 1st George Hatton, Bill Baillie and Ken McKeown. Second Noel Jackson, Stan Dickson and Rex Sargeant.

Wednesday October 14: Triples, first Ray Sullivan, Geoff Fowler and Berak Tomkins. Second John Younghusband, Kevin Barbie and Colin Amos. Third Gary Melrose, Butch Walsh and Barry Goode.

Friday October 16: First Bill Whalan and John Slater. Second Colin Amos, Milton Anders and Laurie Welsh.

Sunday October 18: Introduction to bowls winners Milton Anders, Vic Scaife and Wilma Munn. Runners up Merv Mills and Christine Fossey.

A reminder that the mixed pairs are now being played and the draw has been posted. Please note the remaining designated playing days are November 1, 7, 8 and 14.
