IT'S ON again. With the regular domestic football season drawing to a close and the winter chill leaving the air, it is time to hang up the woollies and turn off those heaters, dust of the boots and round up your mates and make your way down to the Jack Ireland Sporting Complex for the Bulahdelah Soccer Club Twilight Six Aside Competition.

The 2008/2009 season saw our biggest competition to date with a record 13 teams and over 130 players taking the field. Now in its 9th year we hope to again achieve record player numbers and hope for another great year together as we all do battle in the world game for the right to hold up the Bulahdelah Bowling Club Shield and for the title of Bulahdelah FC Twilight Champions.

Returning to defend their title are four time winners Illusions (now d'illusioned FC) along with last year's minor premiers and former winners Mayers Flat Marauders along with the faithful Dad's Army, Tea Gardens, Down to Earth Paving Pythons, Myall River Bullrouts, Saligna and a host of others all eager to make their mark on this year's competition.

A registration day will be held at 5.30pm Thursday October 29 with the competition to kick off from 5.30pm on Thursday November 5 at the Jack Ireland Sporting Complex.

Players and spectators are invited to come back to the Bulahdelah Bowling Club to trade stories and talk tactics over a drink, plus the presentation of player of the round each week.

Along with the players that make this competition possible, we also need referees, so if you feel you know the rules well enough to wield a whistle and would like a little extra pocket money, please contact Steve Locke on 4997 4697.

Team nominations forms are available from Bulahdelah SC, Detours Café, Bulahdelah Bowling Club, Plough Inn Hotel, Robyn's Café, Café Delish and Barry Bros Butchers.

There will be mixed teams of ten players maximum per side with no exceptions, with a minimum of two men or two women. The age limit is 15 years and over. The registration fee is $35 per player, with no weekly match fees. This must be paid upfront before the team is permitted to play in the competition. So if you are a keen footballer or if you are just looking for that little extra fitness, even if you have never played before, make your way down and sign up for a summer of fun.
