Variety the spice of life for walkers

Thursday Walkers

WE had a variety of walks over the winter with a number of people helping as leader. Our springtime walks have been delightful after the early winter rains.

The Dudley to Redhead walk remains a favourite with the most diverse range of wildflowers however, our local Michael Rowe walk had the greatest wow factor with a wonderful display. It really is worthwhile taking a drive along Mungo Brush road in early spring.

We enjoyed the Limeburners Creek walk although finding the starting point was a challenge until we found the Hobart Rd sign a couple of kilometres into the bush. We had an extremely hot day for the Fernleigh tunnel and Glenrock lagoon walk but once we reached the water and were able to paddle we enjoyed a recharge of energy until we reached our lunchtime destination where we all happily crashed down for an enjoyable lunch.

For further information about our walks please ring Bob on 4997 1813.
